Getting " printer shut down incorrectly" and "paper jam" on HP Office Jet Pro 6975

Have paper jam message and there is no paper jam along with printer shut down incorrectly. I have cleaned rollers no paper. What else can I do?

@Jane19631, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

I understand you are not able to print due to this false error message. Make sure you have tried the steps mentioned in this document - Paper Jam Error

Check if the print carriage is moving freely.

 

Now, try making a standalone copy and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue. If the printer makes a copy, the hardware is fine.

 

If you are not able to make a copy, I'm afraid this is a hardware issue. Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service options for your printer. 

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.
