Microsoft Windows 11

Earlier today, I purchased a new HP 4301 from Office Depot.  I got it home, connected it to the network, configured the IP and and allowed it to do a firmware update.  Afterwards, I went forward with setting it as the default printer and sending a test print job.  From that point forward, the printer is indicating a paper jam, but there is no paper anywhere.  I then reset it, and did the same thing again (minus the firmware update) and now it indicates no paper in the tray.

From my experience, I have had some issues with HP firmware updates.  Has anyone experienced this issue and if so, how did you correct it?  If I need to take it back and replace it, no problem.  However, I at least wanted to check.  Thank you for any help you can provide.
