HP 7740 - Mac - fixed paperjam but it still shows as jammed and won't print - tried it MANY times. Have cleared it, opened all options several times, turned off multiple times, won't reset?

Hi @TPImage,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you have fixed the paper jam in your HP 7740 printer but it still shows as jammed and won't print, there are a few things you can try.
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on again. This can reset the printer and clear any error messages.
- Check for any small pieces of paper or debris that may still be stuck in the printer. Make sure to remove all paper fragments, as even small pieces can cause the printer to report a jam.
- Make sure that the paper tray is properly aligned and that the paper guides are adjusted correctly. Improperly aligned paper can cause jams and errors.
- Check the printer settings to make sure that the paper size and type settings are correct. Incorrect settings can cause the printer to jam.
- Try printing a test page to see if the issue is resolved. If the printer still reports a jam, try restarting your computer or resetting the printer's network connection.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
