HP Officejet Pro 8500A Plus e-All-in-One Printer - A910g
Microsoft Windows 11

Firmware is current. Flatbed scanning works. Paper feed starts to works and feeds the document but does not stop "feeding".. Do not use very often. Cannot see any paper fragments. Cannot see anything broken. It does detect a "document loaded". It does feed OK - just does not sense end of page and keeps feeding until the machine detects document is too long. Sure seems like some sensor is not working - something likely simple. At one time SCAN ADF did not work but COPY ADF did work. Now no ADF works - not even a single page. Googled and YouTubed with no solutions.

@islanddick, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I see that the ADF is not working. I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve this issue by performing the necessary troubleshooting steps.

Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document - Automatic document feeder does not pick paper or feeds too many sheets

If the issue persists, I'm afraid this is a hardware issue.

If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.
