HP Neverstop Laser MFP 1200w

I have a printer HP Neverstop Laser MFP 1200w. Got error code 5 (paper jam) but there was no paper on printer. I did proceed to open and make sure there was no paper jam but error persist.

I have power off/on several times, and perform the clearing paper jam process but I'm unable to clear the error

No... it is the problem. How can I clear error #5 (paper jam) when there in fact no paper in the printer.

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Er/05 displays, the Attention light blinks, and the Paper light is on

Paper is jammed in the imaging drum area.

Open the printer, remove the imaging drum, clear the jam with both hands, replace the imaging drum, and then close the printer.

Restart the Printer and Computer

  • Turn off the printer. Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds. Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:

Update Printer Firmware

  • Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.
