HP OfficeJet 250 Mobile All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Printer feeds paper partially into the printer but stops short of the print head area.  It proceeds to go through the motions of printing into the bottom of the printer with no paper in place.  I cannot find any trace of jammed paper neither has there been any jam that would have left paper in the printer.  I have gone through all of the test procedures.

The issue is resolved at least for now. There was a tiny piece of foam tape, approximately 1/8" square x 1" long that finally worked its way through the paper feed and out the discharge. After that it works fine again now. I am positive that foam tape dislodged from somewhere inside the printer. So, what was its purpose? What is it not doing or what will break now that it is not in place? Is there more? Questions I may never know the answer to unless it fails again.

Hi @mstringfield

Thank you for confirming.

The foam tape could be a part of the device. However, it would be difficult to confirm. Let us know if there is any hardware.

Take care and have a good day.
