Hi @JEC202

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It sounds like your printer's queue is stuck, which can be frustrating when you're trying to get things done. Let's work through some steps to resolve this issue:

Step 1: Restart the Print Spooler Service

  1. Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  2. In the Services window, locate Print Spooler.
  3. Right-click on Print Spooler and select Stop.
  4. Open File Explorer and navigate to C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS.
  5. Delete all files in the PRINTERS folder.
  6. Return to the Services window, right-click on Print Spooler, and select Start.

Step 2: Clear the Printer Queue

  1. Open the Control Panel and go to Devices and Printers.
  2. Right-click on your HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 and select See what's printing.
  3. In the print queue window, click Printer > Cancel All Documents.

Step 3: Update Printer Drivers

  1. Visit the HP Support website and search for your printer model.
  2. Download and install the latest drivers for Windows 11.
  3. Restart your computer and printer after installation.

Step 4: Use HP Smart App

  1. Open the HP Smart App on your computer or mobile device.
  2. Navigate to the Diagnose & Fix tool and follow the on-screen instructions to troubleshoot the queue issue.

Step 5: Reset the Printer

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Wait for 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  3. Check if the queue clears after the reset.

Step 6: Factory Reset (Optional)

  1. Access the printer's control panel and navigate to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Restore Defaults.
  2. Confirm the reset and reconfigure the printer.

Let me know how it goes or if you need further assistance! 😊
