I have tried to print an Avery label set up as a label in word but there is no option to select label in the paper source drop down list within the printer software. The printer therefore will not print the label in the correct format. Is there an option to enable printing from a label?

What options do you have?

There are no labels supported for your printer model:

Welcome to the HP Community --

The printer supports a variety of paper types -- hopefully one of these can be selected to print your labels.

In my experience, most Avery labels will print using a paper type Plain Paper

Should you be using a heavier-than-standard label paper, perhaps try one of the following:

  • HP Presentation Paper -- 120 gsm
  • HP Brochure matte / HP Professional Paper -- 180 gsm

Reminder

The printer AND the application must agree on the paper size and paper type.
