Is there any way to factory reset this machine? Lately I can’t complete even one simple print job let alone a 30 page doc. Skips multiple pages I get changed for in Instant Ink. Spits out blank pages even though cartridge is recently replaced. Claims paper jam when there isn’t one. Stopped working right after support expired and now even dumb virtual assistant doesn’t function let alone lead to anything helpful.

Hi @Grrr11,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're facing persistent issues with your HP Tango printer and have tried various troubleshooting steps without success, you may consider performing a factory reset to see if it helps. Here are the general steps for performing a factory reset on an HP Tango printer.

  • Turn on the printer: Make sure your printer is powered on.
  • Disconnect the power cord: Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer. Wait for about 10 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord: Plug the power cord back into the printer.
  • Press and hold the Wireless button and the Power button together: Simultaneously press and hold the Wireless button and the Power button on the back of the printer.
  • Hold the buttons until the Power button blinks: Continue holding the buttons until the Power button on the back of the printer starts blinking. This may take about 10 seconds.
  • Release the buttons: Once the Power button starts blinking, release both buttons.
  • Wait for the printer to reset: The printer will go through a reset process. Wait for the process to complete, and the printer will restart.

After the factory reset, you may need to set up your printer again, including connecting it to your Wi-Fi network.

Please note that performing a factory reset will erase any custom settings you have configured on the printer, and you'll need to set them up again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
