my printer, kept getting a printer jam and then when I opened it up, this piece was loosely hanging out inside, now I don’t know how to put it back or where to put it back and I can’t print anything until I do

@Minoohos, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The plastic part you’re holding looks like a paper guide or separator from inside the HP OfficeJet 8130 series printer. If it was loose inside, it may have detached from its designated slot.

Steps to Reinstall:

Check for Alignment:

Look at the edges and underside of the part. If there are clips or slots, it likely snaps into a guiding track inside the printer.

Inspect the Paper Path:

The blue part in the printer (paper input area) might be a good place to check for attachment points.

Look near the rollers and anywhere the part might fit.

Refer to the Printer’s Paper Path Diagrams:

There may be a diagram inside the printer near the paper tray or jam access area that shows part placements.

Test Manually Before Printing:

Once installed, try manually moving a sheet of paper through the path to ensure smooth movement before printing.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
