5200tn HP Laser Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My work printer was working fine yesterday but when I came in today and printed to it for the first time there was a loud clicking/knocking sound, I opened the left side panel where I could feel the sound was coming from and found the fuser motor cogs were the culprit as they would jump around when I tried to print, I decided to remove the fuser to see if there was anything broken on it (thanks Google/Youtube),  after looking at the and finding nothing wrong visually I had a look at the cogs that run from the motor I've found that one of the cogs is almost worn away so I guess that explains the pile of plastic I found below where the fusers cogs connected to the motors cogs?? I also found when I tried to turn the fusers cogs by hand that they were really really hard to turn.  Is the fuser supposed to be so tight or should you be able to turn it really easy??

The fuser/main drive on these units was notorious for failing due to wear on the gears. The fusers are not really easy to turn because the pressure between the rollers is part of what bonds the paper, along with the heat of the fuser.  You are likely going to have to turn to either 3rd party or used parts as this product was end of life years ago.
