HP OfficeJet Pro 9018 All-in-One Printer

Having a cartridge jam error. I am attempting to open the cartridge access door ( glass top) but it seems stuck. I dont want to damage the printer. Do i just rip it open?!

There is an arrow on the access door point up as if i can open it but i just want to be sure.

Thanks

If you lift the document feeder first, the glass top is locked. Try to lift the document feeder and scanner glass top simultaneously.

Thanks that helped !

But now I have another problem. One of the cartridges has come loose and will not go back in. I am not able to pull it out.

So the cartridges moved to the position for a replacement but you can remove or install one cartridge?

Or one cartridge came slightly out and now all 4 are stuck on the right or left side of the printer?

This ---> One cartridge came slightly out and now all 4 are stuck on the right side of the printer.

I use a thin object like a ruler to push the cartridge back to place.

I tried pushing it back in but its not sticking.

You can try to turn the printer ON, and when it starts to move cartridges it will report a jam. Then you unplug it and use the ruler to push the cartridge that is sticking out enough to use your hand to move manually the cartridge holder to the middle of the printer so you can access all cartridges.

Position make sure the scanner lid is secure while rotating. Return to the front. Now check the output tray for any jammed paper if you see any jammed paper in the paper tray remove it
