Hi @Ldmms,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To reassemble the two-piece rollers of your HP ENVY 6020e All-in-One Printer, follow these steps:

Steps to Reassemble the Rollers

Locate the Roller Pieces:

  • You should have two separate roller pieces: the main roller (usually larger) and the secondary piece (often a smaller piece that fits into the main one).

Align the Rollers:

  • Take the main roller and position it so that you can see where the secondary piece will fit. There should be grooves or slots that indicate how the second piece should align with the first.

Insert the Secondary Roller:

  • Gently slide the secondary roller into the main roller. Ensure that the grooves or notches on both pieces align perfectly. You should hear a soft click or feel a slight resistance when they are correctly aligned.

Check the Connection:

  • Make sure both pieces are securely connected and that there are no gaps between them. They should rotate freely as a single unit.

Installing the Rollers in the Printer

Open the Printer Cover:

  • Lift the scanner lid or access door of the printer to expose the internal components.

Locate the Roller Assembly Area:

  • Find the area where the rollers are installed. This is typically near the paper feed mechanism.

Insert the Roller Assembly:

  • With the rollers assembled, align them with the mounting points inside the printer. Slide the roller assembly into place, ensuring that it fits snugly and securely.

Check for Proper Placement:

  • Make sure the rollers are properly seated and that they can rotate freely without obstruction.

Close the Printer Cover:

  • Once you’ve confirmed the rollers are correctly installed, close the printer cover securely.

Test the Printer:

  • Power on the printer and perform a test print to ensure everything is functioning correctly.

Note:

  • If you have the printer’s manual, refer to it for specific diagrams and instructions related to the roller assembly.
  • Be gentle during assembly to avoid damaging the rollers or any internal components.

If you encounter any issues or if the rollers don’t seem to fit, double-check the alignment and ensure that no parts are missing or damaged.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
