Paper regularly fails to feed from my 250-sheet tray, configured as tray 3, and inspection shows that the pick roller needs replacing.  However, I cannot find any instructions on how to do this - all the items I can find refer to the built-in tray 2.  The difference is that tray 2 has a visible release lever to which the instructions refer; the additional tray does not, and I can find no way of releasing the roller.  Can anyone help, please?

I am like 99% sure you need to remove the 2 screws to lift the metal plate, then you will have access to the roller and release levers.

100% correct - brilliant!  That has fixed it, and I shall remember for next time (I use the printer a lot).

I still don't understand why the levers have to be hidden - or why there is no manual for the tray.

Many thanks flor your speedy and invaluable help.
