I just got the HP OFFICE JET 9129e printer and it’s great. But I want to use the manual feed and it’s not working for me. I’m not doing something right. And AI does NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT I SAY‼️‼️‼️‼️Can someone explain how I can or if I can print with labels, envelopes, and thicker paper using the manual feed on my printer?
THANKS A BUNCH!!!!

Hi @CaptainJane,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Prepare the Printer:
- Ensure that the printer is turned on and connected to your computer or network.
Loading Paper:
- Open the manual feed slot cover at the front of the printer.
- Insert one sheet of label, envelope, or thick paper into the feed slot using both hands.
- Align the paper with the paper guides and gently push it in until the printer starts pulling in the paper.
Adjust Print Settings:
- Go to the print settings on your computer.
- Select 'Manual Feed' as the paper source in your printer settings.
- Choose the appropriate paper type, such as labels, envelopes, or heavy paper.
- Adjust settings like paper size and print quality if needed.
Print:
- Send your print job to the printer. Ensure that the printer settings match the type of paper you have loaded.
- Monitor the printer to ensure the paper feeds correctly. If it doesn't, check the alignment and try reinserting it.
Troubleshooting:
- If the printer doesn’t feed properly, check for jammed paper or any obstructions in the manual feed slot.
- Make sure that the paper thickness matches the specifications supported by your printer.
I hope this helps.
