HP Deskjet Plus 4122 (4100 Series)

I had the problem that others have, with the annoying sound of the scan bar moving back and forth, not parking when not in use. I tried everything you could imagine! Then I pushed lightly down on the top of the scan bed and found the the lid is not heavy enough! I put some weight on it and the scan bar parked!

 I hope this helps!

     Please fix this issue, HP!

                        Thank-You very much!

The lid not sitting flush is often caused by a broken hinge that prevents the lid from sitting flush. One possible cause.

This printer was doing this out of the box bran new! The lid is sitting straight! Nothing is broken!

How ever, you are right about the flush thing, but if the printer is bumped or you walk to close where it is sitting or you use the printer, it starts all over again.

I just found it easier to put something on the top to keep it from cycling again and again just by walking to close or using the printer.

I am a tech! My professional opinion is, it has a flaw in the plastics!
