Hi @Old-mechanic,

 

Welcome to the HP Support Community. 

 

I'd be happy to help you! 

 

Please try the below steps.

 

  1. While the printer is ON, remove the cartridges.
  2. While the printer is ON, unplug the power cord from back of the printer.
  3. Wait for 60 seconds.
  4. Plug in the power cord directly to a wall outlet and then to the printer.
  5. If printer does not power ON, press the ON button to do so.
  6. Install the ink cartridges when prompted.
  7. Make a COPY .
  8. Now power off the printer by pressing Power Button.
  9. Wait for 30 seconds after printer is Powered Off and then Power On the printer by pressing the ON button.
