I was adding paper to Tray 2 and couldn't get the tray back in. As I was trying to push the tray in, this piece of metal wire popped out (literally zinged about a foot out of the printer). After that, I was able to get the tray back in but now the paper doesn't get picked up, it just jams. What is this piece and how do I get it back in the right place? Thank you for your help

HP CLJ CP5225. Parts like these are not easy to identify or reinstall. This part looks like a tension spring that you would find behind a guide roller. May have come from the pick up assembly, RM1-6105-000CN (Duplex) or RM1-6106-000cn (Simplex). When tray 2 is installed, does it lift correctly without noise? Do the rollers attempt to advance the paper? Where does the leading edge of paper stop? If cassette tray lifts ok and the rollers are installed correctly, You will need to remove pick up assembly and inspect it.
