I've been able to add multiple pieces of paper to the paper tray until now. All of a sudden, it won't feed the top piece of paper and it shows paper jam (even though it hasn't actually fed the paper yet) if I load more than one piece of paper into the paper tray. What can cause this sudden change and is there any solution?

@SabNE, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your M2070!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
I understand that your Samsung Xpress SL-M2070W printer is experiencing a paper feed issue where it fails to pick up the top sheet and displays a paper jam error when multiple sheets are loaded. Let’s try a few troubleshooting steps to resolve this:
1. Check the Paper Type & Alignment:
- Ensure you're using supported paper types (plain, A4, letter-size, etc.).
- Fan the stack of paper before loading to prevent sheets from sticking together.
- Align the paper correctly and avoid overfilling the tray.
2. Inspect the Paper Pickup Roller:
- The pickup roller might be worn out or dirty. Open the paper tray and locate the roller.
- Gently clean it with a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water or isopropyl alcohol. Let it dry before trying again.
3. Adjust Paper Tray Guides:
- The guides should be snug against the paper without applying excessive pressure.
- If they are too tight, they can cause feeding issues.
4. Perform a Manual Paper Feed Test:
- Try feeding a single sheet manually through the manual feed slot to check if the printer picks it up properly.
5. Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer, unplug it from power for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in and restart it.
6. Check for Firmware Updates:
- Visit the HP Support website to ensure your printer is running the latest firmware.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
