HP Envy 7855 Photo printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've got an HP Envy7855 that no longer draws paper into the copy area.  It's relatively new - about a year old and just suddenly from one scan job to the next stopped drawing the paper through.  I've looked at it and the rollers seem to be lower than normal.  There is no chime when I put the paper in to be scanned / copied, and the paper is unable to go under the front edge of the roller.  Any ideas as to what I can do to regain my ability to draw paper through to be copied or scanned?  Is this something that can be fixed, or is it new printer time?

HP ENVY 6200, 7100, 7800 Printers - A 'Paper Jam' Error Displays

HP Printers - An 'Out of Paper' error displays, printer does not pick paper

Reminder:

To be able to open the printer,

Heed the advice to switch off the printer - wait - disconnect the power.

What else?

Unlikely, but possible (for Copy, at least, since the printer does have to provide paper),

Check that the printer is set / using the paper (for the copy) that matches the size of the document in the ADF.

Finally,

Also unlikely, but something I've seen on a different printer (that has been cleaned)...

The printer - as the document is placed into the ADF - might not be "seeing" the document.  No "chime" sound.

Remove the document and gently shove it back into the ADF.

I have to do this on my OfficeJet Pro 9025 - sometimes it takes a couple of times to "catch" (chime).

True - it's not a very scientific approach.  Meh.
