Hi @Sadoon,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M28a is not picking up paper despite the rollers being clean, here are a few things you can check:

  • Paper Type and Quality: Ensure you’re using the correct paper type and quality recommended for your printer. Poor-quality or curled paper can cause feeding issues.
  • Paper Tray Adjustment: Make sure the paper guides in the tray are snug against the edges of the paper. Incorrectly adjusted guides can prevent the paper from feeding correctly.
  • Check for Obstructions: Look inside the printer for any obstructions or small pieces of paper that might be blocking the paper path.
  • Paper Feed Rollers: Even though you’ve checked the rollers, make sure they are not worn out. If they are smooth or shiny, they might need replacement.
  • Printer Firmware: Ensure your printer's firmware is up to date. Sometimes, firmware updates can resolve hardware issues.Update the firmware on an HP printer
  • Reset the Printer: Try resetting the printer to its factory settings. Sometimes this can clear up issues with paper feed mechanisms.
  • Test with Different Paper: Use a different type or brand of paper to rule out paper-related issues.
  • Check for Jam Codes: If the printer displays any error codes or messages related to paper jams, follow the troubleshooting steps specific to those codes.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
