Hi @nitin_771,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Paper feeding issues with HP printers can occur due to several reasons such as incorrect paper loading, paper jam, or even hardware problems. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to troubleshoot and resolve these issues.

Check Paper Compatibility:

  • Make sure you are using paper that is compatible with your HP printer. Refer to your printer's manual for recommended paper types and sizes.

Inspect and Reload Paper Tray:

  • Remove the stack of paper and inspect it for any damage like wrinkles or tears.
  • Fan the stack of paper and gently tap it on a flat surface to align the edges.
  • Reload the tray with new paper, ensuring that it is properly aligned, and adjust the paper guides snugly against the stack.

Check for Paper Jam:

  • Open the printer to check for any paper jams. Remove any jammed paper carefully, ensuring no pieces are left inside the printer.
  • Ensure no foreign objects are obstructing the paper path.

Clean the Paper Feed Rollers:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Access the paper rollers (usually found at the rear or inside the paper tray area).
  • Use a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water to gently wipe the rollers, removing any debris or dust.

Check the Paper Settings:

  • On your computer, ensure the paper settings in the print dialog match the actual paper loaded into the printer.
  • Incorrect settings can sometimes lead to feeding errors.

Perform a Printer Reset:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord.
  • Wait about 60 seconds before plugging it back in and powering on the printer.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Go to the HP Support website and check for any available firmware updates for your printer model.

Test with Different Paper:

  • Try using a different type or brand of paper to see if the issue persists. Some printers may be sensitive to certain paper types.

Following these troubleshooting steps should help resolve most paper feeding problems with your HP printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
