Check for Quiet Mode in Printer Settings

  • On the printer control panel, tap the Setup (gear icon).
  • Select Preferences.
  • Tap Quiet Mode.
  • Turn Quiet Mode ON and confirm the setting.
  • Print a test document to check if the noise level is reduced.

Note: Quiet Mode slows certain mechanical movements to reduce printing noise.

  • Turn the feature ON and apply the changes.

Adjust Print Quality Settings

  • Open the document you want to print.
  • Select Print and open Printer Properties or Preferences.
  • Under the Paper/Quality tab, change Print Quality to Normal or Draft.
  • Disable Best Quality or High Resolution modes.
  • Print the document again and check if the noise decreases.

Check Paper and Paper Path

  • Remove all paper from the input tray.
  • Fan the paper stack to separate the sheets.
  • Reload the paper and adjust the paper width guides so they lightly touch the stack.
  • Open the rear access area and check for small debris or torn paper.
  • Close the access door and print a test page.previous posts that has assisted other customers with the same issue.
