HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

When I print the printer will not grab the paper to print the full page.  It cuts off the top portion.  Doesn't happen on each print job, just a page here and there.  I have to open the tray and make sure the paper is pushed toward the back.  I've cleaned the roller balls that grab the paper and it still doesn't help.  Does anyone have a suggestion?  Thank you.

Hi @Abbiehannah,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e printer is having trouble grabbing paper and occasionally cutting off the top portion, there are several steps you can take to address the issue:

  • Check Paper Condition: Ensure that the paper you are using is in good condition and not damaged. Bent or curled edges can cause feeding problems.
  • Adjust Paper Guides: Make sure that the paper guides in the tray are properly adjusted to the size of the paper you are using. If the guides are too tight or too loose, it can lead to feeding issues.
  • Clean Paper Path: Use a lint-free cloth or compressed air to clean the paper path, including the rollers. Dust and debris can accumulate on the rollers, affecting paper feed.
  • Use Supported Paper Types: Ensure you are using paper types that are supported by your printer. Consult the printer manual or HP's website for the recommended paper specifications.
  • Update Printer Drivers: Make sure that you have the latest printer drivers installed. Visit the HP website to download and install the most up-to-date drivers for your specific printer model. Software and Drivers for HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e All-in-One Printer
  • Adjust Print Settings: Check the print settings on your computer. Make sure that the paper size selected in the print settings matches the paper loaded in the tray.
  • Reset Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for a few minutes. Then, plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes resolve temporary issues.
  • Check for Firmware Updates: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Firmware updates can address performance and compatibility issues.
