Photos are printing crooked on 4x6 photo paper.  I have checked and rechecked the printing settings.  When I change the paper, I usually get a prompt on the printer to change the paper tray but now I am not. Photos are printing crooked.  I have aligned the printheads, turned off the printer and computer multiple times.

Hi @spiritvision195,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP OfficeJet 8035e is printing photos crooked, the most likely culprits are misaligned paper guides in the paper tray, improperly loaded paper, or a potential printhead alignment issue.

Check paper loading:

  • Ensure the paper is stacked evenly and aligned with the paper guides in the tray.
  • Adjust the paper guides to snugly fit the paper size you are using.

Printhead alignment:

  • Access your printer settings on your computer.
  • Navigate to "Maintenance" or "Tools" and select "Printhead Alignment".
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to print an alignment page and adjust the printhead as needed.

Other potential issues:

  • Printer tilt: Check if the printer is sitting level on a flat surface.
  • Paper type: Try using a different type of photo paper to see if the issue persists.
  • Software settings: Double-check your print settings on your computer for any scaling or rotation issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Hi, thank you for the suggestions. I did try everything...several times and still have the issue.  I also have an issue where  the paper tray alert says the tray is not installed, when it is.  I have taken the tray out and reinstalled and was able to clear that issue, but anything other than 8 1/2x11 prints crooked.  so, this is not resolved.  thank you.
