I am encountering  an old issue aptly described in

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-Paper-Jams-Feed-Issues/OfficeJetPro-8610-is-printing-Multiple-...

That issue is supposed to have been resolved, but the actual solution, if any is available, is not described., If anybody knows whether something can be done to correct the matter, please describe (or point to) the actual solution.

The issue raised at

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-Paper-Jams-Feed-Issues/OfficeJetPro-8610-is-printing-Multiple-...

seems to be the same one.

Thank you

Hi @vit31,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP OfficeJet Pro 8610 is printing multiple repeated lines of the same content, and you’re looking for a real solution beyond what’s been discussed online. Let’s go through a few practical steps to help fix this.

Check print settings on your PC
In the print dialog, open Printer Properties before printing.
Make sure duplex/2‑sided printing isn’t enabled incorrectly — sometimes mis‑configured page handling causes repeated lines.

Update or reinstall the printer driver
Even if it’s up to date, remove the current driver and reinstall it fresh.
A corrupt or mismatched driver can cause print data to misinterpret pages.

Print a printer self‑test page directly from the printer
Use Setup → Printer Maintenance → Print Quality Report on the printer panel.
If the repeated lines appear on the self‑test, the issue is internal to the printer hardware.

Clean the printhead and run alignment
On the printer, go to Setup → Tools → Clean Printhead, then Align Printhead.
Repeated lines are often tied to printhead timing and carriage calibration problems.

Check for paper and feed issues
Make sure the paper is loaded evenly and the paper guides are snug.
Mis‑feeds can cause the printer to think it needs to feed again, resulting in repeated lines.

Power reset the printer
With the printer on, unplug the power cord from the back.
Wait 60 seconds, plug it back in, and turn it on — this clears any internal memory caches.

Try printing from a different application or computer
Print the same document from Notepad/Word and also from another device.
If the problem only happens from one app/device, it’s likely software‑side, not printer hardware.

I hope this helps.
