Hello and Greetings--
Okay. I have two issues that have stumped me.
(1) I would like to know how to reset or reconfigure the paper alignment for the printer. When I print a greeting card - let's say, the card stock comes out of the printer not aligned. It is off by a quarter of and inch, and thus, so is the greeting card printing. {I have already reset, realigned, and reconfigured my greeting card software.}
(2) I have noticed that recently, I cannot change the print quality in the preferences area. It is like a third party entity has locked it in the "Normal" option. There used to be two or three options for print quality - "Best" being one of them. Sometimes when I print certain things (pictures being one of them) I need to use the "Best" option, or I get lines through the print. I would like to have my "Best" option back. I wonder who changed it and the locked it in the first place. Could it have been Instant Ink?
I am really looking forward to hearing from someone. Thank you.....

Hi @Wishboy14,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Printer Alignment Calibration:
- Open the HP Smart app on your Windows 10 PC.
- Select your printer and click on the "Printer Maintenance" or "Printer Tools."
- Choose "Align Printer" to perform a print alignment. The printer will print an alignment page that you must scan to calibrate the printer.
Check Paper Size and Type:
- Ensure the paper type is correctly selected in the print settings. Sometimes misalignment occurs because the printer is set to a different paper size than what is loaded.
- Go to the printer properties in Windows and confirm the paper type. Make sure it's set to card stock if that’s what you’re using.
Adjust Printer Settings:
- Access the printer settings through the Control Panel.
- Navigate to "Printer Preferences" or "Print Settings" and ensure that the paper size matches the actual size of the greeting card.
Inspect the Paper Tray:
- Make sure that the paper guides in the tray are snug against the card stock. Loose guides can cause the stock to skew during printing.
- Verify that the paper is fed correctly and isn’t bent or curled at the edges.
Software and Firmware Updates:
- Check for any software or firmware updates for the HP OfficeJet Pro 9025. HP updates often contain bug fixes and improvements for printing accuracy.
- Use the HP Support Assistant on your PC to check for updates or visit the HP Support webpage.
Manual Alignment:
- If automatic calibration doesn’t resolve the issue, you might need to calibrate manually. Access the printer menu, then navigate to setup options for manual alignment.
Test and Adjust Placement:
- Print a test page and measure if the misalignment persists.
- Experiment by adjusting margins within the print settings on your software application.
I hope this helps.
