My printer has expired warranty.  In the last few days, it has jammed each time paper was fed from the paper tray.  After following the video to clear the jam, the printer reports that the jam has cleared, but the same thing happens again.  What is needed to remedy the situation?  I need my printer.

Hi @kpwms25

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand the situation clearly: your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e is reporting cleared jams but continues to jam again when feeding paper from the tray.

Let’s go through the troubleshooting steps to address repeated paper feed issues.

Check Paper Condition and Loading

  • Use clean, crisp paper of the recommended type and size.
  • Fan the stack to prevent sheets from sticking together.
  • Load paper with the print side facing down and adjust the paper guides snugly against the stack.

Inspect the Paper Tray and Path

  • Remove the paper stack and check inside the tray for torn pieces of paper or obstructions.
  • Ensure the tray is not overfilled; load only the recommended number of sheets.

Clean the Paper Feed Rollers

  • Open the printer and locate the rollers inside the paper path.
  • Using a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water, clean the rollers to remove dust or residue.
  • Allow them to dry completely before reloading paper.

Run HP’s Diagnose & Fix Tool (via HP App)

  • Open the HP App on your Windows or macOS computer.
  • Select your printer, then go to Printer Settings > Diagnose & Fix.
  • Follow the guided steps to automatically detect and resolve feed issues.

Update Printer Firmware

  • In the HP App, check for firmware updates under Printer Settings > Advanced Settings > Firmware Update.
  • Install any available updates to ensure the printer runs with the latest improvements.

Summary:
The repeated jams are often caused by paper condition, tray loading, or dust on the feed rollers. By cleaning the rollers, ensuring proper paper loading, and running the Diagnose & Fix tool in the HP App, you can restore smooth paper feeding.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
