Printer paper jam without rally paper stuck. Printer doesn't pick up the paper. How to solve

2 REPLIES 2
HP Recommended

If the printer makes repeated noises like it is trying to feed then the pickup rollers are a possible cause. Remove the paper tray and look at the rollers in the top of the tray cavity. They should be a consistent color and have tiny fingerprint like ridges on them. If they are dirty, try cleaning them with a damp lint free cloth. If they are shiny and bald, they will need to be replaced. Another possibility is that there is a jam in the feed path and you can try flossing the path to push out any debris. Flossing is accomplished by pushing a heavier piece of card stock through the paper path in the normal direction of travel.

Hi

If he tries to pull the paper several times and fails, remove the cartridge and clean the gray roller in the middle of the printer with a thin cotton swab.

This is a solution for when the paper roller is dirty or toned.

If you have been using it for a long time, it is better to replace the defective part.
