Hi @Amanpaul,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP ENVY Pro 6455 All-in-One Printer is displaying a paper jam error despite no visible jam, try these troubleshooting steps.
Check All Paper Paths
- Turn Off the Printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Remove All Paper from the input and output trays.
- Check Inside the Printer:
- Open the front and rear access doors.
- Look for any small pieces of torn paper or debris inside.
- Use a flashlight if needed.
- Check the Paper Pick Rollers:
- Rotate the rollers manually to check for stuck debris.
- Clean them with a lint-free cloth dampened with distilled water.
Reset the Printer
- Unplug the printer while it is on.
- Wait for 60 seconds.
- Plug it back in and turn it on.
- Try printing again.
Ensure Proper Paper Loading
- Use the correct paper type and size (plain, non-wrinkled, non-folded paper).
- Fan the paper stack to prevent sheets from sticking.
- Adjust the paper guides so they lightly touch the edges of the paper without pressing too hard.
Run Printer Diagnostics
- Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
- Go to Printer Maintenance > Clear Paper Jam.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
Check for Sensor Issues
If the issue persists, the paper jam sensor might be stuck or malfunctioning. Try:
- Blowing compressed air inside the paper path.
- Lightly cleaning the paper path sensors with a soft, dry cloth.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
