Hello @rajatsarkar, Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the HP printer.

We appreciate the opportunity to assist you and are glad we could help work toward a resolution. We hope our support has been valuable.

To help us get started on resolving your issue, could you please let me know the printer's name and the model number along with the network setup of the HP device so that I can assist you further?

However, in the meantime could you please try a few troubleshooting steps provided below.

  • Clean the Pick-up Rollers:
Over time, paper dust can accumulate on the rollers, creating a smooth surface that prevents proper paper feeding. Turn off and unplug the printer, locate the rubber pick-up rollers within the paper tray, and gently clean them using a soft, lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water or isopropyl alcohol. Ensure the rollers are completely dry before resuming printing.

  • Check Paper Alignment and Tray Capacity:
Avoid overloading the input tray. Ruffle (fan) a small stack of paper to separate the sheets, then tap it against a flat surface to align the edges. Load the paper neatly and adjust the guides so they fit snugly against the stack without bending it.

  • Inspect and Remove Debris:
Carefully examine the entire paper path, including the input tray, rear access area, and cartridge compartment, for any obstructions. Even small fragments of torn paper or foreign objects like paperclips can interfere with the sensor and cause recurring paper jams.

  • Verify Print Settings:
Ensure that the paper size and type selected in the print settings on your computer match the media loaded in the printer. Mismatched settings can lead to feeding issues or repeated jams.

  • Print in Smaller Batches:
For large print jobs, consider dividing them into smaller batches. Printing excessive pages continuously may cause internal components, such as rollers or gears, to overheat or wear down, increasing the likelihood of paper jams.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
