@Stavroula7, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding paper feed issue!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If your HP DeskJet F380 is not taking in paper and the paper light is blinking, the issue is likely a paper feed problem. Here are some steps to fix it:
Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Open the rear access door and check for any jammed paper or small debris.
- If you find any, gently remove it without tearing.
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the paper rollers inside the rear access area.
Clean the Paper Feed Rollers
- With the printer turned off, open the paper tray.
- Locate the rubber rollers inside.
- Dampen a lint-free cloth with distilled water and clean the rollers.
- Allow them to dry completely before plugging the printer back in.
Check the Paper Type and Alignment
- Ensure you are using plain, A4-sized paper (not thick or glossy paper).
- Fan the stack of paper to prevent sheets from sticking together.
- Do not overload the tray – try inserting only 10-15 sheets.
- Adjust the paper guides so they are not too tight.
Reset the Printer
- Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cable.
- Wait for 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cable back in and turn on the printer.
- Try printing again.

Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor (Recommended for Windows 11)
- Download HP Print and Scan Doctor from HP’s official website.
- Open the tool and follow the on-screen instructions to diagnose and fix the issue.
Perform a Hard Reset
- With the printer powered on, unplug the power cord from the printer.
- Unplug it from the wall outlet as well.
- Wait 2-3 minutes.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall and then into the printer.
- Turn on the printer and try printing again.
Let me know if this works!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
