HP OfficeJet Pro 9019/Premier All-in-One Printer

Hello!

I've been trying to rectify a paper feed issue - the rollers don't want to pick up paper!

I have cleaned the rollers and whilst putting the printer back, the following object appeared to fall from the printer;

It doesn't seem to have snapped off - there's no obvious damage to it, other than the fact that it's no longer attached to my printer.

I still don't know whether I have sorted the paper feed issue - I'd rather get this item back to where it should be.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Alas, the cleaning of rollers has not rectified the issue...and then there is the issue of the item that has fallen off the printer - a picture of which I sent in my initial post.

It's rather frustrating as I feel I've not got much use from this printer (although I've had it 3 years) and that I should have purchased a laser printer from the outset.

The chances are that the cost of a repair (as it's out of warranty) will cost as much as a new printer and seeing that I need one with a scanner (which is working fine on my current printer), it just feels like a waste.
