Paper jam - Office Jet 5255, cannot remove paper path

There is a paper jam and the paper path cover will not come out, it is stuck on the Left hand side. though both grey areas easily slide across.

How can i clear the jam (can't see it but also can't release the paper path cover in order to do so)
