Paper jam error message on document feeder while scanning, but there's no jam 8620

HP 8620 -- I loaded about 20 pages in the feeder for a two-sided scan, something I do all the time. It keep stopping after a few pages. Nothing ever jammed inside the unit, but the paper jam message will not go off and the unit will not accept the scan. Tried cleaning the rollers, unplugging, turning off and restarting. Nothing seems to be working.

If you have already performed the steps from the document Paper Jam Error and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

 

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
