Hi @huco,

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP Color Laser 150nw is jamming paper when you try to print photos on glossy paper. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Verify the paper type being used
HP Color Laser printers are designed for laser-compatible glossy paper only, not inkjet photo paper.
Using inkjet glossy paper can cause jams because it is too thick or heat-sensitive for laser fusers.

Confirm the paper weight and specifications
Check the glossy paper packaging and confirm it meets laser printer specifications (typically 120–163 gsm max for this model).
Paper that is too thick or coated incorrectly will not pass through the fuser.

Load glossy paper correctly in the tray
Load only a small stack (5–10 sheets maximum).
Make sure the paper is flat, aligned, and not curled or sticking together.

Adjust the paper type in printer settings
In the print dialog, set Paper Type to Glossy (Laser) or Heavy Paper if available.
This adjusts the fuser temperature and paper feed timing to reduce jams.

Print photos using the manual feed method
If supported, feed one sheet at a time from the tray.
This reduces resistance and prevents multiple sheets from sticking together.

Check the paper path for residue
Open the printer and inspect the rollers and the fuser area for toner buildup or paper coating residue.
Glossy paper coatings can leave residue that increases friction.

Test with plain paper
Print the same image on plain paper to confirm the printer works normally.
If plain paper prints without jams, the issue is paper compatibility rather than a printer fault.

Allow the printer to cool between attempts
After a jam, wait a few minutes before trying again.
Overheating can worsen jams when using thicker media.

I hope this helps.
