I installed a new solenoid spring on my hp 1022 laser jet and now, after putting it all back together, I get a paper jam (pic enclosed). Any ideas?

Did you remove the fuser? If so you may not have seated it properly when reinstalled. Or you have left a cable unhooked. Backtrack and check your work carefully as it is easy to miss a connection. I always take a picture of a board before starting to remove connectors because there are often blank connectors and it is easy to overlook one missing cable.
