Trying to print an envelope and printer is reporting "paper detected does not match paper size selected"

I have been using this document/envelope before and never had a problem??

If the printer is not aware of the paper size / paper type in the printer, it might issue this error message.

If the printer is on the network,

If the Embedded Web Server (EWS) is supported in your environment and printer,

Use EWS to check / adjust the Tray and Paper Management setup.

EWS – Browser – Tray and Paper Management

Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Settings > Preferences > Tray and Paper Management

Model Dependent:  Check the Advanced section (at the bottom of the Tray and Paper Management menu)

Click Apply to save changes

Example - EWS - Retain / Modify / Check Tray and Paper Management

What else?

Not sure what you are using to create the envelope -- guessing that it is the standard "Word" > Mailings > Envelopes

If you are sure about the paper / envelope as loaded in to the printer according to the User Guide,

For example:  Not too many envelopes in the stack, the Flap position and orientation are correct,

EWS / Tray and Paper Management is correct,

(and)

If the envelope is a supported size,

If "everything" is just so -

Try - even for a supported envelope size -

Treat the envelope as if it is a "Custom" size envelope.

That means:  Select Size = Custom and enter the dimensions.

Example - Word > Mailings > Envelopes - #10 envelope
