Thanks for your support, the settings were aligned for A4 e the paper is recognized by the printer but when I launch the print execution, both from a mobile device or via usb from a laptop (windows or IOS), the printer picks the sheet and the final result is a blank sheet and the error message "paper too short".
I have also tried to change the type and quality of paper without results.

OK.
Most of what should work has been tried by now.
?
It's broke, it's still not set up correctly, I missed something, or it needs a harder kick.
I will forward a request to our Moderator team.

Hi @simomons,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're receiving an error message on your HP ENVY 5020 All-In-One Printer stating "paper too small" when trying to print on A4 paper, there are a few things you can check and troubleshoot.
Paper Size Settings:
- Make sure that the paper size settings in your printer and on your computer match the actual size of the paper you are using (A4). Check both the printer settings on the control panel and the print settings on your computer.
Paper Guides:
- Adjust the paper guides in the input tray to ensure they are set to the correct paper size. There are usually markings on the tray to guide you in adjusting the width and length settings.
Paper Condition:
- Ensure that the A4 paper you are using is in good condition and not damaged. If the paper is wrinkled, folded, or torn, the printer may have difficulty feeding it properly.
Printer Firmware:
- Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve compatibility issues and improve overall performance.
Print Driver:
- Ensure that you have the correct and up-to-date print driver installed on your computer. You can download the latest driver from the official HP website.
Paper Type Setting:
- Some printers have a setting for the type of paper being used. Make sure the paper type setting matches the actual type of paper (e.g., plain paper) you are using.
Reset Printer:
- Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few minutes, and then plug it back in. This can sometimes reset the printer and resolve temporary issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Thanks @alden4 I have tried these actions several times without success.....it seems quite strange because if I try to copy this works perfectly, instead while I print it works once randomly every 20 or 30 attempts.
