I just spent 3 hours completely dismantling my printer hoping I would find some small torn paper piece or perhaps a small part/gear/roller that wasn't functioning properly.  Welp.....nothing.   What I did find however, was that this is not a paper jam issue but the printer carriage getting stuck issue.  Not sure why the error code  has it as a paper jam.  Anyway, when the ink reservoir slides back and forth when the carriage is all the way to the right, it gets stuck, locks in place and then says there is a paper jam.

Anyone have any idea?

@Ceanes12, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I see that you are not able to print due to this error.

To resolve a carriage jam issue, perform the steps mentioned in this document - Carriage jam or E3 error

To check for paper jams follow the steps in this document - A 'Paper Jam' Error Displays

If the error persists, please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options for your printer.

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.
