I have a HP LaserJet P2055dn. When I try to print a piece of paper, it'll print out fine, but a second piece of blank paper will get half printed out and a third blank piece will get jammed near the printer cartridge. I can remove the pieces of paper, but this is an annoying issue I haven't been able to solve yet.

Hi @JJSpeed27,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP LaserJet P2055dn is jamming repeatedly, with extra pages feeding and getting stuck near the cartridge. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Check the pickup and feed rollers
• Worn rollers can pull multiple sheets at once or fail to feed correctly.
• Open the tray and inspect the rollers for smooth, shiny, or worn surfaces.

Clean or replace the rollers
• Use a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water to clean the rollers.
• If they’re heavily worn, replacing the pickup and separation rollers often fixes multi-sheet feeding.

Inspect the paper tray and paper stack
• Make sure the paper guides are snug against the stack, not loose.
• Remove any curled, damp, or mixed-size paper that can cause double-feed issues.

Check the fuser for partial page movement issues
• A blank page pulling halfway and stopping can indicate a slipping or worn fuser.
• Look for excess toner buildup or damaged fuser rollers if visible.

Examine the toner cartridge area
• Remove the cartridge and look for bits of torn paper or debris near the feed path.
• Toner cartridges with damaged rollers can also cause feed interruptions.

Verify that no paper scraps remain in the path
• Open the rear door and all access panels.
• Even a tiny piece of paper near the registration area can cause repeated jams.

Try printing from a different tray or paper type
• Use fresh, high-quality paper and ensure the tray isn’t overfilled.
• If Tray 1 works better than Tray 2, the issue may be isolated to a roller or sensor in the main tray.

Run the printer’s cleaning page
• This can help remove excess toner or dust affecting the paper feed.
• Use the Cleaning Page option from the printer menu or driver.

I hope this helps.
