Hi @BrendasLad,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP ENVY Inspire 7224e printer is stuck in sleep mode or not waking up, try these troubleshooting steps.

  1. Press the Power Button – Tap the power button briefly to see if it wakes up.
  2. Check the Display – If the screen is off, touch it or press any button to wake the printer.
  3. Restart the Printer – Unplug the power cord from the back, wait 30 seconds, and plug it back in.
  4. Check Power Source – Ensure the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector.
  5. Update Firmware – If possible, check for a firmware update through the HP Smart app or printer settings.

Disable Sleep Mode

  1. Open the HP Smart app or the printer’s control panel.
  2. Go to Settings > Power Management.
  3. Adjust Sleep Mode or Auto-Off Timer settings to a longer duration.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
