HP Deskjet F4480 All-in-One Printer
Other

Acquired a used F4480 to replace my old one that suffered a fatal carriage drive failure. Upon boot-up, and after installing ink cartridges, the printer began its alignment page printing protocol, but was unable to feed paper. Upon inspecting the operation of the roller and pickup assemblies from the rear with the back cover removed; it is quite obvious that this mechanism is functioning with a fraction of the power it is supposed to have, and insufficiently to complete the job it is designed for. To make note of details; it appears to slowly turnover once, then pause/"fall" over for the second half of its rotation cycle. I would like to know what aspects of the printer to investigate further or specific mechanical equipment within it to troubleshoot, test, and consider replacing. I have my old one with a fully functioning roller system still that I may harvest parts from.
