I am trying to print a batch of invitation envelopes (size: A2) using Office 365 Word's mail merge. I have installed 20 envelopes in the paper tray (correctly) per the instructions within the tray ... face-down, secured in the center of the tray with the paper guides. I have set the paper size to the A2 envelopes which is a specified setting. AND here is the 1st rub, the paper type selection does not show any envelopes at all. The only paper type settings allowed by this printer are plain paper, photo paper, specialty paper (matt & glossy), plain paper-thick, & plain paper-light/recycled. So, question #1: What paper type is to be selected for envelopes? I used both plain paper and plain paper thick. This is what happens ...
When I print an envelope it prints the addresses (both return and delivery) in the correct placement. However, as the envelope comes through the printer the envelope is pulled to such a degree that it is folded diagonally at a crooked angle. This causes the first couple of letters of the return address to be printed on the inside flap of the envelope, and the delivery address to be printed on an angle near the bottom left-hand corner on the envelope front.
How do I correct this problem. The envelopes are causing some jamming of the printer if the fold is not good as well as ink smearing at the bogus fold across the face of the envelopes. Is there some setting that I need to do in order to fix this problem and allow these invitations to be processed normally? Please help and give me some guidance in correcting this problem. Oh, and by the way, I already made sure that all my printer's software & firmware programs have been updated.
