I bought a new computer about six months. Since then, when I printed doubled sided pages with pre-punched three hole paper, it prints with the three holes on the right side when double sided. When single sided, it prints with the three punch holes on the left side, which is how I want it to print. So, there must be a some setting I need to fix/switch, I just don't know how to do that. Thanks!

Hi @mjrees
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To adjust the printing settings for double-sided printing on pre-punched paper, you’ll need to check a few settings in your print dialog. Here’s how you can do that:
1. Check Printer Settings
- Open the Document: Open the document you want to print.
- Print Menu: Go to File > Print.
- Printer Properties: Before printing, look for a button labeled Printer Properties or Preferences in the print dialog.
2. Adjust Double-Sided Printing Settings
- Duplex Printing: In the printer properties, look for an option related to duplex or double-sided printing. It may be labeled as "Print on Both Sides," "Two-Sided Printing," or something similar.
- Binding Option: Check for a setting that allows you to choose the binding option (like Long Edge or Short Edge). For your case, you may want to select Long Edge for three-hole punch paper.
3. Set Paper Orientation
- Ensure that the paper type is set correctly in the printer properties. You might also want to confirm the paper orientation is set to Portrait if that’s how you want to print.
4. Test Print
- After making these changes, print a test document to see if the holes are now on the correct side.
5. Adjust in the Application
- Some applications (like Microsoft Word) allow you to set print options directly. Check the page layout and print settings within the application to ensure they match your requirements.
6. Update Printer Driver
- If the settings don’t seem to help, make sure your printer drivers are up to date.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
