Hi @Nickerson

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with printer envelops, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.

Could you please elaborate in detail about the error message you are receiving?

In the meantimem try these steps.

1. Check the Paper Settings

  • Make sure you've selected Envelope as the paper type in the print settings.
  • On your computer, go to Print Settings > Paper/Quality or Advanced Settings and select Envelope from the drop-down menu.
  • Ensure the envelope size (usually #10) matches the actual envelope you’ve loaded in the printer.

2. Load the Envelopes Correctly

  • Ensure the envelopes are loaded correctly into the printer’s input tray, with the flap side down and facing the back.
  • Do not overload the tray. Make sure the envelopes are aligned properly to avoid paper jams.

3. Update Printer Drivers

  • Sometimes, outdated drivers can cause printing errors. Visit the HP support page to download the latest drivers for your printer model and operating system. Click here

4. Clear the Print Queue

  • If there are any stuck print jobs, cancel them to reset the queue:
    • Go to Devices and Printers on your computer, right-click the printer, and select See what's printing. Cancel any pending jobs.

5. Check for Printer Errors

  • Ensure there are no paper jams or other physical issues with the printer. The error might indicate a paper misfeed or obstruction after printing the first envelope.

6. Reset the Printer

  • Power off the printer, unplug it for a minute, and then plug it back in. This can sometimes clear minor errors.

7. Try a Different Envelope Brand

  • Some printers can be picky about the type or brand of envelopes used. Try a different brand to see if that resolves the issue.

I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
