@SAcree1972, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Replacing the pickup rollers in the HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 Wide Format All-in-One Printer involves a series of steps to ensure they are properly installed. While direct instructions specific to tray 2's pickup rollers are not available, here's a general guideline to clean or address issues related to the pickup rollers, along with related tasks that might be helpful:

Cleaning Paper Feed Rollers (General Instructions)

Turn off the Printer:
Start by turning off the printer and unplugging the power cord to ensure safety during the process.

Access Rollers:

  • Open the ink cartridge access door.
  • Look into the areas where rollers are visible, including the rear of the printer, if accessible.

Clean the Rollers:
Gather a lint-free cloth and distilled water. Lightly dampen the cloth with water and gently rub the rollers with moderate pressure to remove dust and debris. Rotate the rollers while cleaning to ensure all surfaces are addressed.

Cleaning the rollers and separator pad

Dry the Rollers:
Allow the rollers to dry completely before proceeding.

Reassemble:
Close any doors or trays that were opened and re-plug the printer.

Restart the Printer:
Turn the printer back on and reconnect any necessary cables, such as USB or Ethernet.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
