HP ENVY 4511 All-in-One Printer

I was trying to print a label wirelessly from my phone to my printer and my phone sent me a message there was a “paper jam”. I opened my printer to clear the jam and there was not paper jam anywhere. After I closed the lid a message popped up on the screen of the printer saying “service station stalled: press ok button to have the printer automatically attempt its recovery process”. I clicked ok button several times it didn’t work. Things would move inside the printer then the same message would pop up. I even tired turning the printer off then back on, same thing. And I even did a “hard reset”, still same thing.

Hi @Kenzie28,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If the service station of your HP ENVY 4511 All-In-One printer is stalled, there are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue.

  • Restart the printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. Turn on the printer and check if the service station is still stalled.
  • Clear any paper jams: Check for any paper jams or obstructions in the printer's paper path. Remove any stuck paper carefully, making sure not to tear it. Sometimes a paper jam can cause the service station to stall.
  • Check for foreign objects: Inspect the printer thoroughly for any foreign objects such as small pieces of paper, paper clips, or other debris that may be causing the service station to stall. Remove any obstructions you find.
  • Perform a hard reset: Turn off the printer, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer, and unplug it from the power source. Wait for about a minute, then reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer.
  • Update printer firmware: Visit the official HP support website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model. If there are updates, follow the instructions provided to download and install them.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
