Color LaserJet Pro MFP M281fdw printer

I have a Color LaserJet Pro MFP M281fdw printer. I have partially pulled out both tray 1 and tray 2.  I cannot get either of them shut back in place properly nor can I pull them out all the way to fix the issue.

The proper method to remove the trays as per the user guide is to remove tray 2 first and then remove tray 1. If you remove tray 2 part way and then tried to remove tray 1 they can jam together. You are probably going to have to work at tray 1 to try and get if far enough back in the printer that you can remove tray 2 and then take out tray 1. Having never had to deal with this issue I cannot tell you how exactly that is done and it is likely a bit of luck involved in it.

Thank you.  I shall try to see if I can get Tray 1 inserted enough to close Tray 2.

Personally if you can get tray 1 closed enough to remove tray 2 I would do that. Then you can remove tray 1. Trying to reclose tray 2 while you think you have a jam might bind up everything even tighter.
