Operating System: macOS 15.0 Sequoia

I am getting crumple paper when I try to scan or copy by using the top paper feed.   The paper crumples and stops scanning.   I cannot scan or copy anything by using the scanner.   The paper tray feeds fine. it is the scanner on the top, I need to scan more than 1 page at a time, the scanner feed is taking the paper and crumpling it up. the paper won't go around and down to the glass to be scanned.
